Notes for Contacts

Adding notes to a contact will help you better remember important information about them. We suggest using this space to store information about a customer's previous visits and personal details that help you maintain a strong rapport with them.

Adding a Note

  1. In the Broadly App navigate to "Inbox" in the main menu.
  2. Select the contact that you’d like to leave a note for.
  3. Select the three vertical dots in the upper right of the contact page and select "Add Note". If you have trouble identifying the 3 vertical dots see our article on Editing & Deleting Contacts for an image of where to find it. 
  4. Leave your notes in the yellow note area, then select "Save."

Editing a Note

  1. To edit a note, click on the note once to view it, and a second time to edit it.
  2. After editing your note, select "Save" to save your changes.
  3. If you change your mind and do not want to save your changes, you can instead select "Cancel."

Searching for a Note 

  1. In the Broadly app navigate to "Inbox" in the main menu.
  2. In the search bar at the top of the contact list, you can search for keywords left in notes. For example, if you leave a note "interested in X service," once X service is available you will be able to search for "interested in X service" and all customers with that note will appear in your list. 

Deleting a Note

  1. Edit your note and delete all of the note’s content.
  2. Select "Save" to save and the note will no longer be visible on the contact page.
