If a contact has both a mobile phone and an email address on file, Broadly will default to sending your messages to that contact via text.
If you have a contact that does not wish to be texted, you can set "Email" as their contact method. This will ensure that any review requests, direct messages, or payment requests will be emailed to that contact.
To designate a contact method:
- Navigate to "Inbox" on the left-hand menu, search for the contact that you wish to update, and select their name.
- Select the three vertical dots in the upper-right hand corner and choose "Contact Info" from the menu that appears.
- Scroll down to "Contact Method" and choose "email" or "text". The selected preference will be highlighted.
If you would prefer all of your customers to be contacted via email (no text messages) take a look at our article on Messaging Customizations.
